Santa Marta Retirement Community
In the picturesque setting of Chester County, PA, a project was undertaken to create an idyllic retirement community for those aged fifty-five and older.
The objective was to cultivate an environment that blended visual allure and practicality. The landscape team meticulously maintained extensive areas of fine-blade turf-type fescue. It enriched the setting with vibrant annual color planting areas, flourishing perennials, shrubs, and a diverse array of trees including ornamental, evergreen, and shade varieties. This thoughtful landscaping gave residents a captivating visual experience within the communal areas and their private courtyards.
One notable challenge in this project was accommodating the individual landscaping preferences of the community's residents.
Personalized plantings introduced by residents required specialized care, managed through a streamlined process of communication and coordination with the facility's management. The expansive seventeen-acre property presented a logistical challenge in lawn maintenance, efficiently addressed by scaling the mowing crew to ensure the entire area was tended to effectively within a day. The end result was a harmonious and beautifully landscaped environment, offering a serene and aesthetically pleasing backdrop for the residents' retirement years.
